The 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games will offer up to 3,000 athletes from more than 100 countries world-class competition in seven winter sports:

Competition will be held at venues throughout southwest Idaho including Bogus Basin Mountain Resort (Boise, Idaho), Sun Valley Resort (Sun Valley, Idaho), Qwest Arena (Boise, Idaho), Expo Idaho (Boise, Idaho), Dollar Mountain (Sun Valley, Idaho), Pondarosa State Park (McCall, Idaho) and Idaho Ice World (Boise, Idaho).
