MEDIA REGISTRATION - HOW TO REGISTER
The 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games is pleased to announce that media registration for the World Winter Games is now open.

What you will need to register: 
- Contact information
- Work information
- Passport number
- Flight information:  Arrival and departure
- Photo (image must be a JPEG format under 250 KB to be valid)
- Username & password (this will be created by you and enable you to update your registration information as it becomes available)

**Please note that you will not be prompted to upload your photo until you have successfully completed all application fields.    
 
MEDIA REGISTRATION ACCESS 

All media planning to attend the World Winter Games must be registered with the Games Organizing Committee (GOC). Each member of the media who are registered will be provided with a credential allowing them access to all the sports and approved programs and initiatives.

Successful applicants will be notified by email and provided with further information as it becomes available. All applications are subject to confirmation.

ACCOMMODATIONS AND SERVICES DURING THE WORLD WINTER GAMES
Please note that you are responsible for arranging your own accommodations in Idaho, USA. We have designated rooms for media, but space is very limited.  We encourage you to book as early as possible.  Accommodations reservations are available through InIdaho.com.  CLICK HERE for a list of media hotels that are included on the World Winter Games transportation route in Boise, Idaho, USA.


There will be a Main Press Center that will be located at the Convention Center, which is adjacent to The Grove Hotel in downtown Boise, Idaho, USA.  There you will be provided snacks and drinks, internet connections, printers, phones, fax machines, etc. and have access to World Winter Games publications, competition results, schedules and press releases.

There will also be venue sub-centers at each of the competition venues and Opening and Closing Ceremonies which will provide drinks, information and internet connections.

TRANSPORTATION AND PARKING DURING THE WORLD WINTER GAMES
There will be shuttle buses during the World Winter Games providing transportation to competition venues, some accommodation sites and World Winter Games events. Media may use this shuttle bus at no charge, but must show a credential. Public transportation and rental car options in Idaho, USA are very limited, so we encourage you to make arrangements well in advance.

Parking permits will be issued, but spaces will be limited at most venues. More parking information will be available at a later date.
