The Delegation & Event Service Directorate is comprised of the following five (5) departments: Accommodations, Delegation Services, Food Services, Language Services, and Transport & Parking.

Accommodations

The Accommodations area is responsible for providing appropriate, affordable and efficiently utilized housing for all official guests during the operational period of the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games and during the pre-Games period.  MORE  

Delegation Services

The Delegation Services area is responsible for providing guidance, support and communication assistance to all participating Delegations and Families attending the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games and any related test events. MORE

Food Services

The Food Services area is responsible for the identification and procurement of appropriate quantities of food and beverage items needed to ensure optimal nutritional support for approximately 3,650 Delegation members, 10,000 Volunteers and 75 GOC Staff at the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games and test events. Language Services

The Language Services area is responsible for providing accurate, timely and complete Interpretation and Translation for all official clients, at key official Games venues, during the operational period of the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games and test events, as well as during the period of planning for those events. Transport & Parking

The Transport & Parking area is responsible for providing safe, on-time, efficient and environmentally sensitive services to all official clients, at all official Games venues, during the operational period of the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games and any related test events. MORE
