The Games Organizing Committee (GOC) is responsible for all Games-related transportation, housing, meals and amenities for an estimated 100 countries with up to 3,000 athletes for the 2009 World Winter Games. Current estimates require a budget of approximately $35 million in cash, in-kind gifts and services to operate the events in Idaho.
Although the GOC, it’s Board of Directors and the Honorary Board are committed to take whatever steps necessary to fund, organize and facilitate this extraordinary event, every dollar counts and $35 million is not easy to come by.
Whether it is $1 or $1 million dollars, each and every contribution made is greatly appreciated and welcomed. This powerful, courageous and life-changing event is sure to not only impact the athletes and all those involved but also the entire Idaho community.
Donations to the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games not only support the event, but the state of Idaho, the U.S. and the futures of the wonderful, vibrant athletes competing in the games.
