Board Of Directors

Chip Fisher - Fisher is currently a real estate investor and owner of George IV Wine, Napa, California.  He is on the board of directors for the Sun Valley Community School, president of Sun Valley Chamber of Commerce and a Ketchum City Council member.  Fisher also served under Phil Batt and Dirk Kempthorne as Chairman of Idaho’s Olympic Commission. Fisher currently serves as the CEO and Chairman on the Board for the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games. 

Jim Grossman – Mr. Grossman is the founder of Hidden Springs, ID, a national award winning environmentally sensitive master plan community northwest of Boise. He was the Idaho State Director of the Kerry-Edwards 2004 campaign and is on the board of the Frank Church Institute and Sun Valley Adaptive Sports. Mr. Grossman serves as the Chairman of the Idaho Bid Committee for the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games.

Chris Privon - Privon is the Vice President in the Technology Solutions Group for Hewlett Packard.  He is on the Board of Directors of the Ore-Ida Council Boy Scouts of America, Engineering Advisory Board at Purdue University, is the executive sponsor for the People of Color Network on the Boise Site and is the executive sponsor for HP's recruiting effort at Notre Dame.  

Douglas Armstrong - Armstrong is the President and General Manager of KTVB News Group. He has served as chairman of the board for the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Boise Valley Economic Partnership.

Nancy Boespflung – Boespflung is the owner of the Tamarack Resort. She is a former board member for the Centre Internatioal de Valbonne, a multilingual charter school, volunteers for several arts groups and political causes and was president of the board of Opera Idaho! for two years.

Gary Dyer – Dyer is the Chief Operating Officer of Blue Cross of Idaho. He has held leadership positions in community and professional organizations such as Kiwanis, Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry and United Way. 

Marc Edenzon – Involved in Special Olympics International since 1975, Mr. Edenzon developed Special Olympics programs in Asia, Canada, Europe, Latin America and the former Soviet Union. He is the current president of Special Olympics New Jersey.

Rob G. Friedman – Chief operating officer of Paramount Pictures, Mr. Friedman is a member of the Next Generation Council for the Motion Picture and Television Fund Foundation.  He is also on the boards of directors of the Motion Picture Pioneers and the Southern California Special Olympics.

Kirk Grogan – Idaho native and member of Special Olympics Global Athlete Congress, Mr. Grogan competed in snowshoeing and softball. In 2003, he was named the Special Olympics Idaho “Male Athlete of the Year”, and he currently serves on the Special Olympics Idaho board of directors.

Pirie Grossman – Ms. Grossman is a board member of the New Heritage Theatre in Boise, ID, The Women's Charitable Foundation and The Idaho Compassion Center in Sun Valley. She was the main organizer of the Dalai Lama Visit to Sun Valley where she produced the Children's Day Event, as well as the CEO Compassion Summit. Ms. Grossman is President of Destiny Productions and is the Co-Chair of the Idaho Bid Committee for the 2009 Special Olympics World Winter Games.

Robert T. Kustra – President of Boise State University (Boise, Idaho), Dr. Kustra has directed BSU through a formative time of profound growth after a distinguished career as legislator and as Lieutenant Governor of Illinois.

Jamie MacMillan – As the community grants officer for the J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation, MacMillan has served on the Junior Board of Directors for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Ada County and is a Boise Art Museum Trustee.

Gail May – May is the President of the Owyhee Plaza Hotel. She has served as a board member for the Greater Boise Auditorium District, St. Luke's Children's Advisory Board, St. Luke's Auxiliary and the St. Luke's Foundation. May is also a past chairman of the American Medical Hospital Association Committee on Volunteers.

John McGee – As the youngest Idaho state senator, Sen. McGee is the Vice Chairman of the Canyon County Republican Central Committee, a member of the Caldwell Rotary Club and is the Chairman of the Regional Substance Abuse Authority Legislative Committee. Sen. McGee is a board member of the Albertson College National Alumni Board.

Dee Mooney - Mooney is the Executive Director of the Micron Technology Foundation.  She has served on the St. Luke's Children's Advisory Board, Boys and Girls Club Youth of the Year selection committee, and currently serves on the St. Luke's Health Foundation Board of Directors.    

Kip Nelson – Nelson is the Co-Founder of The Ski Tour LLC, a series of winter mountain festivals with professional ski competitions. He serves on the board of the USSA (United States Ski and Snowboard Association), the Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation and Company of Fools, a local theater organization.

Steve Osburn – Osburn is a broker at Windermere Real Estate and Capital Group, Inc. He is a former chairman of the board for the Intermountain MLS, Inc. in 2002 and was elected Vice President of the Ada County Association of REALTOR's® (ACAR) for 2004. Osburn also acted as the organization's President Elect in 2005.

 Jim Schmit – Schmitt is the Idaho President of Qwest Communications. He currently serves on the board of advisors of the Boise Metro Chamber of Commerce and serves as chairman of the board of the Idaho Governor's Cup Scholarship Program and the Idaho Association of Commerce and Industry.

Linda Payne Smith – Smith is the Executive Director of the Saint Aphonsus Foundation. She is on the board of directors for the Caring Foundation, Treasure Valley YMCA and the Boise Chamber of Commerce.

Michael D. Sullivan – Sullivan is the President of Special Olympics Idaho. Before his retirement in 2006, he served as the Corporate Communications Director for Potlatch Corporation for nine years. His daughter is a Special Olympics athlete and he has volunteered for with the organization or over 23 years. In addition, Sullivan served on the Lewiston Chamber of Commerce board of directors for six years.

Michael Sullivan – Sullivan is the V.P. & Sr. Managing Director US Bank. He has served as a board member for the March of Dimes, Ballet Idaho and Idaho Human Rights Education Center. In addition, he is currently on the Chair Audit and Planned Giving Committee for the University of Idaho.

Kathinka Tunney - Tunney is a former board member of Special Olympics California and Special Olympics International.  While with SOI, she chaired the Sports Rules Committee from 1991-1994, and the Site Selection Committee from 1994-1998.  Tunney also served on the board of VSA Arts, an affiliate of the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.  She is also a former Swedish National Downhill Champion. 

Jackie Groves Twilegar – Serving as a financial advisor at Merrill Lynch, Twilegar was also the Idaho State Controller Democratic Nominee in 2006. She is a former member on the board of directors for Opera Idaho!, The Children's School, the Boise Art Museum and the Boise Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.
