Accommodations ensures that all housing sites provide official guests with the best possible opportunity to prepare for participation at the Games, providing a safe, secure and comfortable environment that offers a welcoming spirit of friendship.

The Accommodations area involves the following five (5) components:

• Identification – Accommodations must identify the quantity of available housing.
• Assessment – Accommodations must determine the quality of the available housing.
• Contracting – Accommodations must secure the housing required for all official guests, including a contingency for any unexpected needs.
• Allocation – Accommodations must assign rooms to all official guests, ensuring that the supply of available housing meets the peak demand for such housing.
• Reconciliation – Accommodations must make all appropriate payments to the housing owner, as well as collect payment from all official guests, as needed.

The Accommodations area matches the available supply of housing with the Games-time demand for housing, assigning the appropriate type of housing to each client group.
